چکیده
The current study was conducted in a pot experiment with sand bed soil for two winter seasons (2019/20, 2020/21) to illuminate the impact of calcium lignosulfonate (Ca-LIGN) (100 mg/L) alleviating various levels NaCl (0, 100, 200, and 300 mM) on barley cultivars, Giza132 Giza133. Giza133 outgrew under salinity stress by accumulating less Na+ content retaining more K+ content. Surprisingly, Ca-LIGN shown be involved both cultivars’ capacity efflux return greater influx 100 200 mM NaCl, resulting an increased dry weight shoots roots as well leaf area compared untreated levels. Physiological parameters were measured relative water (RWC), electrolyte leakage rate (ELR), peroxidase activity (POD) root grain yield, protein evaluated. Adding ameliorated growth all recorded characteristics. Under stress, induced higher RWC cultivars those without Ca-LIGN. Although ELR significantly leaves different concentrations leaves, applying reduced deterioration their lowering ELR. As result, salinity-affected plants (Giza133 Giza132) NaCl), respectively, inhibited POD about (10-fold, 6-fold, 3-fold, 5-fold). yield effective than Giza132, (61.46, 35.04, 29.21% 46.02, 24.16, 21.96%) at Moreover, while similar normal conditions, adding accumulation raising concentration until it reached 3% 2% increases NaCl. It can concluded that help alleviate ionic excluding harmful ions,

Effect of salinity stress on physiological characteristics and protein profile of tolerant and sensitive barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) cultivars at vegetative growth stage
To study the variation of plant traits related to stress tolerance in tolerant and sensitive barley cultivars under salt stress conditions, an experiment was carried out as factorial arrangements in completely randomized design in Payame Noor University of Mahabad, Iran in 2018. Application of salinity stress of 250 mM of sodium chloride started from tillering stage, and leaf samples were taken...
متن کاملEffect of Agronomic Practices on Growth, Grain Yield, Malt Yield Losses of Barley (Hordeum vulgare L.)
A field experiment was conducted during 2006-07 and 2007-08 at Ludhiana to study the effect of different agronomic practices on growth, grain yield, malt yield and losses of malt barley (Hordeum vulgare L.).The study revealed that plant height, dry matter accumulation, grain and straw yield were statistically at par with different method of sowing during both the years. Similar trend was also o...
متن کاملMetabolic responses to salt stress of barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) cultivars, Sahara and Clipper, which differ in salinity tolerance
Plants show varied cellular responses to salinity that are partly associated with maintaining low cytosolic Na(+) levels and a high K(+)/Na(+) ratio. Plant metabolites change with elevated Na(+), some changes are likely to help restore osmotic balance while others protect Na(+)-sensitive proteins. Metabolic responses to salt stress are described for two barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) cultivars, Sa...
متن کاملComparative Proteomic Analysis of Two Barley Cultivars (Hordeum vulgare L.) with Contrasting Grain Protein Content
Grain protein contents (GPCs) of barley seeds are significantly different between feed and malting barley cultivars. However, there is still no insight into the proteomic analysis of seed proteins between feed and malting barley cultivars. Also, the genetic control of barley GPC is still unclear. GPCs were measured between mature grains of Yangsimai 3 and Naso Nijo. A proteome profiling of diff...
